Groups Protest Film "Tropic Thunder" for its Portrayal of Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

The Arc of Baltimore is joining with self-advocates and other members of the disability community nationwide to protest Paramount Pictures’ new comedy “Tropic Thunder.”

Ravens Roost Bull Roast Anyone?

Calling All Artists



This year’s Art in the Round is on October 14th so it’s time for the artists among us to go through their masterpieces (or start one now). Deadline for submission is August 29th. Click here to view the Call for Art flyer and the Artist Packet for further details and submission forms.

Bay Buddies Expands to 100 KidsBay Buddies


The Arc’s Bay Buddies program, a unique summer enrichment program for 100 children with special needs now includes five participating schools. This year’s activities includes trips to the B&O Museum and the MD Science Center, sailing, and other adventures.

Registration available for Respite Conference

The Maryland Respite Care Coalition will hold their annual Respite Awareness Conference on October 27th, 2008 at the Maritime Institute Conference Center in Linthicum Heights. Arc staffers Joseph Anastasio and Dianna Morgan will co-present the session, “Brothers & Sisters – Friends & Helpers. Click here for registration information.


Golf TournamentGolf Tournament A Success

More than 200 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day in June (following the May rainout) at The Arc's 14th Annual Golf Tournament and raised more than $100,000.

Volunteers from T. Rowe Price spent a Day of Caring helping The Arc of Baltimore Dundalk Center and gave a lift to the grounds.
