Respite Care Services

The Arc of Baltimore’s Respite Care Program provides occasional, short-term temporary physical and emotional relief to families caring for children or adults with developmental disabilities living in their home. Respite Care allows family members the opportunity to enjoy a break from their care giving duties. However, this is considered a private, independent arrangement between the family and the caregiver.

A family is eligible for up to 7 days or 70 hours of
respite each year depending on the availability of funds. The Arc can assist in identifying experienced providers if you should require one.

You may click here to download the Respite Care Application for services or for more information.

For more information, please contact Dorothea Nikas at dnikas@arcofbaltimore.org or at 410-296-7667, ext. 5349.
