Dedicated
to helping people with developmental disabilities make
the most of their potential since 1949, The Arc of Baltimore
(formerly the Baltimore Association for Retarded Citizens)
is one of the nation's largest and most respected organizations
of its kind. Our innovative services support approximately
3,000 adults and children with developmental disabilities
and their families in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
Our programs help families provide needed care and opportunity
for their children, and individuals are able to live and
work in the community mainstream. The Arc of Baltimore
is an indispensable resource, not just for people with
developmental disabilities and their families, but for
the entire community.
Our Mission: To ensure that people with developmental
disabilities have maximum opportunities to actively participate
in all aspects of community life, and to offer programs
and services that support them in doing so.
