LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR APPLY NOW
The responsibility of the landscape maintenance supervisor is to oversee a crew of supported landscape workers, and ensure the workers’ safety and training program, and assigned commercial landscape maintenance contracts.
Essential Job Duties:
- Ensure that the supported worker’s rights and dignity are protected, and that they have maximum opportunities to fully participate as a member of the landscape department.
- Ensure that safety policies and procedures are followed without exception.
- Assume responsibility of all equipment used on jobs, including care and safe operation, promptly reporting damage or losses.
- Submit manifests and time cards daily to manager and other documentation as required.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individual plans for assigned workers and maintain pertinent documentation.
- Complete assigned contracts, ensure contract requirements are completed within allotted time.
- Complete all agency required trainings for position.
- Demonstrate the techniques used in landscape work, and set the pace for the workers.
- Apply pesticides as needed, keeping accurate records as required by Maryland Department of Agriculture.
- Maintain assigned vehicle, reporting problems or damage immediately.
- Complete vehicle maintenance records as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education, Experience, Requirements:
- High School Diploma /GED preferred.
- 2 yrs maintenance experience required (i.e. custodial landscape.)
- Current Maryland driver’s license.
- Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds, push, pull, and carry a variety of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Requires good physical coordination, (i.e. stooping, working on hills) and stamina for working in all types of weather conditions year-round.

- Provide individual behavioral services as assigned including providing transportation and support services as required.
- Provide staff augmentation and/or staff training as assigned.
- Function as agency contact with employer, providing information about employing people with developmental disabilities.

- Must have in-depth working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook a plus.
- Must possess a high level confidentiality and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
- Strong analytical skills required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.
- Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Must be available to work 2-3 days (12-18 hours) per week for 10 weeks, between 8:30a- 4:30p.
